Over use of resources

Sometime late 1970s to the 1980s  we started using more of Earth's renewable resources such as water, soil, fish, trees etc per year than the Earth can replace. Currently we would need about 1.6 Earths to be sustainable.

According to the BBC documentary, "How Many People Can Live On Planet Earth", the earth can sustain only about 1.5 billion people if we all lived like the USA

If we all lived like the average Indian (Asia), 15 billion people.

Currently there are 7 billion people.

9.6 billion people are expected by 2050.

Currently:
1 billion people survive on less than a dollar a day. Another billion make do on less than $2 a day.

1.1 billion are without potable water.

2.4 billion  are without proper sanitation.
